Schwerer Gustav

This, my friends, was Hitler's uber weapon. Its basically the most badass weapon of all time, aside from that one bomb we blew up Japan with. My bad Andy, I was wrong. It weighed an insane amount, but the crazy numbers I was coming up with had to do with the size of the train that had to carry it. Anyway, the gun itself weighed 1350 metric tonnes (~1500 tons), fired 80cm shells that weighed about 7.1 metric tonnes (~7.8 tons), and was hauled by 25 train cars that totaled a length of about a 1 mile. Its tested max range was about 37 km (23 mi) when firing 7.1 metric tonne armor piercing rounds. Oh, and it was supported by 80 axles (LOL).

Needless to say, this thing owned everything at fairly high accuracy and if you got his by that shell, you would never know because it would pulverize you into nothingness. Here's a picture that should give you an idea of what the shell looks like compared to this T-34 Soviet tank. That thing's solid. They had explosive and rocket rounds, but I don't think they ever got around to using them.

I'm sure you know this already, but it's a well known fact that the day this baby was commissioned, Hitler looked to his peers and said "Hella fuckin balls to the wall awesome" (loosely translated), then Einstein popped out of the cockpit and high-fived everyone.
